Plans of Monday

from Design Seeds

Realization of my latest plans:
     - to make organic cotton baby booties and hats - I finished one hat
     - to make some matching embellishments - there are two of them in my head
     - to choose the girlish colours for the merino wool booties - I couldn't go to my favourite shop and to
choose the colours online is really tricky
     - to finish the pattern of the Butterfly shawl - I made it
Plans:
     - to continue making organic cotton baby booties and hats
     - to materialize those ideas of embellishments in my mind
     - to choose the girlish colours for the merino wool booties: now I will make it to the shop
     - to make explanation of grafting for my Butterfly pattern - with photos

     - a Butterfly sál leírásának véglegesítése - a leírás elkészült.
 Tervek:
     - a biopamut babacipők és sapik készítésének folytatása
     - a kigondolt díszítések megvalósítása
     - a merinó gyapjú babacipők lejányos színeinek kiválasztása: most elmegyek a boltig!
     - a Butterfly mintához magyarázat készítése az összevarrásról - fotókkal

I join those who write to-do list on Monday - this was announced on Theia's blog. I will write down what I want to do on that week and report what had I done during the last week.

Seven days will not be enough...

Én is csatlakozom Theia blogján meghirdetett, a hétfőn teendőlistákat készítők sorába. Leírom mivel szeretnék azon a héten foglalkozni, illetve beszámolok arról, hogy az előző héten mit sikerült megvalósítani a tervek közül.
Tervek:
     - a biopamut babacipők és sapik elkészítése
     - hozzájuk illő díszítés(ek) kigondolása
     - a merinó gyapjú babacipők lejányos színeinek kiválasztása
     - a Butterfly sál leírásának véglegesítése
Azt hiszem kevés lesz a hét nap...

Flame Triangular Scarf

This lightweight triangular scarf is edged with lace flame motives and has stocking stitch body. The yarn is the classic lace knitting merino wool: very slender but has beautiful strong colour.
It is knitted in two parts and grafted together, as the Dots Scarf, just with an another wider border.
Yarn: Barka Szitakötő (100% Merino)
Colour: dark red (burgundy)
Measurement: 78" (wingspan) and 39" (spine length)

Bamboo scarf

passap machine knitting bamboo scarf

This is not what I had planned. I wanted to make a nice bulky halfcircle shoulderette but the yarn opposed. It continuously fallen from the needles. So instead of my plan I made a scarf with a simple tuck stitch pattern. But I have to say this is a beautiful yarn! Quite heavy and slippery but it has such a wonderfully silky touch and vivid shiny colour. But unfortunately its thickness is over my poor machine's limit consequently it was the last time I tried to use it.
Yarn: Barka Mandarin (100% bamboo)
Colour: peacock (bight blueish green or greenish blue, turquoise)
Measurement: 13,5" x 59"

Hát nem ezt terveztem. Eredetileg egy helyes kis félkör alakú kendőcskét akartam kötni, de sajna a gépen nem fogadott szót. A szemeket folyamatosan elhagyta...
Fonal: Barka Mandarin (100% bambusz)
Szín: páva

Méret: 35cm x 150cm

To build a halfcircle

How to form a sideways knitted and half-circle (or half-doughnut) scarf, shaped by short rows in the stocking stitch section. It is knitted along with the lace border as one piece. Apply your own lace edging design - please remember to choose a pattern which is loose enough to stretch during blocking. I used rib lace and openwork rib lace versions.

After the straight beginning:
     1.  2 rows N
     2.  1 row BX (put pushers rest position as the chart indicate)
     3.  carriage on the left: hook yarn to the nearest needle with pusher in rest position
     4.  1 row BX
     5.  repeat from step 1.

The chart in pdf format available free in Google Documents: here
