I have finished the new pattern planned for the first birthday of the blog. The name is came from the fly-like motif of the lace edgeing. (Yes, yes, I definitely see it there...)
This is a long and narrow halfcircle shaped scarf - shawl - shoulderette, its construction is like the one of the Braid Scarf. You can use it as a wrap - to warm your shoulder or like an ordinary scarf around your neck. Ideal accessory for the autumn or the winter.

Yarn: Barka Díva (50% Alpaca, 50% Merino wool)
Colour: grey
Measurement: 67,7" x 14,5" 

Végre befejeztem a blog születésnapjára tervezett mintát. A nevét a csipkés széldíszben felfedezhető légy (vagy moly) -szerű képződményről kapta. (Igen, én határozottan látom ott azt...)

Ez tulajdonképpen egy losszúkás és keskeny félkör alakú kendő - stóla - vállacs, felépítése megegyezik a Braid Scarf-al. Használhatju magunk köré csavarva vállmelegítőként vagy mint egy átlagos sálat a nyakunk körül. Tökéletes kiegészítő őszre illetve télre.

Braid Scarf

 

My original intention was to make an universal pattern which can use as a shawlette in summer and as a scarf in winter. And can be knitted as one piece of course.
The new scarf is a crossbreending of the Chain Shoulderette and a triangular scarf. Its shape is a strange narrow halfcircle which was formed one pair of short row sections (Chain Shoulderette has three pair section), divided by a short straight part.
I think it turned out nicely. The pattern is easy to follow (just for me at this moment).

Yarn: Barka Esti mese (100% Merino wool)
Colour: deep red, burgundy
Measurement: 67,7" x 14,5"

Az eredeti elképzelés szerint olyan izét szerettem volna kitalálni amit nyáron "kendőcske"-ként, télen pedig sálként funkcionálna. És persze egy darabban kötődik.
Ez az új kendő a Chain shoulderette és egy háromszögletű kendő keresztezése. A formája furcsa, elnyújtott félkör, amit egy pár rövidített sorokból álló "szűkítéssel" alakítottam ki (Chain shoulderette-nél három pár rövidített részt használtam), amit egy rövid egyenes szakasz tagol.
Szerintem egészen jó lett a próbálkozás. A minta könnyen követhető (per pillanat csak szerintem).

Bamboo scarf

This is not what I had planned. I wanted to make a nice bulky halfcircle shoulderette but the yarn opposed. It continuously fallen from the needles. So instead of my plan I made a scarf with a simple tuck stitch pattern. But I have to say this is a beautiful yarn! Quite heavy and slippery but it has such a wonderfully silky touch and vivid shiny colour. But unfortunately its thickness is over my poor machine's limit consequently it was the last time I tried to use it.

Yarn: Barka Mandarin (100% bamboo)
Colour: peacock (bight blueish green or greenish blue, turquoise)
Measurement: 13,5" x 59"

Hát nem ezt terveztem. Eredetileg egy helyes kis félkör alakú kendőcskét akartam kötni, de sajna a gépen nem fogadott szót. A szemeket folyamatosan elhagyta... Így hát kötöttem egy sálat csipkeszerű mintával. A fonal, az viszont gyönyörű! Meglehetősen nehéz és csúszós, de a tapintása csodásan selymes és fényes élénk a színe. Sajnos a gépem határait a vastagsága meghaladja, tehát ez volt az utolsó alkalom, hogy kötöttem belőle.

To build a halfcircle

How to form a sideways knitted and half-circle (or half-doughnut) scarf, shaped by short rows in the stocking stitch section. It is knitted along with the lace border as one piece. Apply your own lace edging design - please remember to choose a pattern which is loose enough to stretch during blocking. I used rib lace and openwork rib lace versions.

 

After the straight beginning:
     1.  2 rows N
     2.  1 row BX (put pushers rest position as the chart indicate)
     3.  carriage on the left: hook yarn to the nearest needle with pusher in rest position 

     4.  1 row BX

     5.  repeat from step 1.

Chains Shoulderette

This half-circle scarf (or shoulderette) is edged with lace chains and has stocking stitch body. The inspiration came from Henslowe by Beth Kling which is one of my favourite patterns. So I tried to forge a pattern for knitting machine and this is the result.

The scarf is side-ways knitted as one piece and the halfcircle (or half-doughnut) form is shaped by short rows in the stocking stitch section.

Yarn: Barka Limonádé (100% bamboo)
Colour: white (not bright white, it is cloudy)
Diameter: 51"

Ez a félkör alakú kendő (vagy ... ööö ... vállacs?) lánc-szerű csipkével van szegélyezve és sima (harisnya) kötés az alapja. Az inspiráció Beth Kling Henslowe kendőjétől származik - ami az egyik kedvenc mintám. Tehát megpróbáltam valami hasonlót kitalálni kötőgépre és ez lett az eredmény.

Egy darabban, oldalvást van kötve, a félkör (vagy félfánk - hehe - félgyűrű) formáját pedig a sima részben kötött rövidített sorok adják.

Szín: fehér (nem az a szemkiütős hófehér, hanem olyan felhős)
Átmérő: 130 cm
