Summer Lace - for Hand Dyed Yarns

I had made several of my summer lace design already.

These two shawls are made from silk and camel blend yarn - shiny and soft:

Simple Summer

To continue the spring - summer collection, let me introduce this Simple Summer Stole.
The striped lace pattern is as simple as possible - as it is indicated by the name. This simplicity is for a purpose: to emphesize the uniqenes of the hand-dyed mohair yarn. I do not like the long self striping or batic ombre yarns but this beauty is absolutely gorgous! The colour is like a red berry pie... (with vanilla ice-cream it would be perfect for summer...)

Colour: purple, pink, cyclamen, lilac, red

Folytatván a tavaszi - nyári válogatást, hadd mutassam be a Simple Summer Stole-t. 
A csíkos csipkeminta a lehető legegyszerűbb - ahogy a neve is jelzi. Ennek az egyszerűségnek oka van: így hangsúlyoztam a kézzel festett moher fonal különleges színét. Nem szeretem a hosszú átmenetes öncsíkozó vagy batik fonalakat, de ez a szépség egyszerűen csodálatos! Olyan a színe mint egy erdei gyümölcsös pitének... (vaníliafagyival tökéletes lenne nyárra...)

Mohair cowl

 

This cowl was knitted with a lace pattern as simply as possible. An unadorned and clear snood or shoulder warmer. Another great accessory for everyday use. I made this in four colour: light ice blue, hunter green, dusty pink, and light mauve.
Yarn: Drops Vivaldi (56% Mohair, 30% Polyamide, 14% Wool)
Measure: 49" (circumference), 11,5"

Ez a kámzsa a lehető legegyszerűbb csipkemintával készült. Egyszerű, sima nyak- vagy vállmelegítő. 
Még egy tökéletes kiegészítő mindennapi használatra. Négy színben készült: világos jégkék, vadász zöld, füstös rózsaszín és paszel szilva.

Fonal: Drops Vivaldi (56% mohair, 16% gyapjú, 30% polyamid)

Méret: 125cm (kerület), 30cm

 

Luxury scarf for everyday use

I have finished three more colour versions of this mohair blend scarf. Now it is available in cream, grey, gooseberry and the old one: dark teal blue. As I had written the pattern of the scarf is neutral (although it is slightly lacy), unisex so I tried to choose the colours to fit in this role. The yarn is one of my favourites, super soft, light and not itchy - but drapes gorgeously and voluminous.
Yarn: Yeoman Ofelia (20% mohair, 80% acrylic) 
Measurements: 59" and 15"

Elkészítettem még három színből a moher sálamat. Jelenleg krém, szürke, egres valamint a régi sötétkék színekben érhető el. Már írtam, hogy a sál mintája meglehetősen semleges (ahhoz képest, hogy enyhén csipkeszerű) uniszex,  így a színeket is ennek megfelelően próbáltam kiválasztani. A fonal az egyik kedvenc moher keverék fonalam, nagyon puha, könnyű, nem szúr - viszont terjedelmes és az esése gyönyörű.

Butterfly in the Storm

The second Butterfly shawl is knitted from a thin mohair-silk yarn. It is larger than its merino brother even though their patterns are identical. I prefer the thicker yarn - it is so much more textured.

Colour: greyish blue (storm)

Dimensions: 19,5" x 75"

A második Butterfly stóla igazán vékony moher-selyem fonalból készült. Nagyobb lett mint a gyapjú testvére, pedig a mintájuk teljesen ugyanaz. Nekem a vastagabb fonalból való jobban tetszik - sokkal plasztikusabb a mintázat.

Smoldering Leaf

This scarf is a finer version of the Spring Leaf. The colour of the yarn is simply wonderful, it is like a dream. The shiny orange silk core is wrapped in an airy light red mohair halo. It is truly like living coals.

The scarf is slighter bigger than her mother, this is because of the finer yarn and the more aggressive blocking.

Now I know what is my problem with this pattern. This is not slow or long-lasting but very boring. And also monotonic. So I  shall continue to dislike it...

A Spring Leaf sál finomabb változata. A színe egyszerűen csodálatos, olyan mint egy álom. A fényes narancsos selyem alapot veszik körbe a  piros moher szálak. Tényleg olyan mint a parázs.

A kendő egy kicsit nagyobb mint a szüleje, ez köszönhető a finomabb fonalnak illetve az agresszív blokkolásnak.

Most már tudom, hogy mi a problémám a mintával. Nem lassú vagy hosszadalmas, hanem nagyon unalmas. És monoton is. Továbbra sem szeretem...

Snowflakes lace

The first attempt is made from an acryl yarn. The result is a somewhat stiff scarf so the lacy pattern is displayed perfectly, but it has not at all the soft touch I was awaiting.

Colour: dark beige (light caramel, wheat)

Measurements: 65" x 8"

Yarn: Rosarios4 Pluma (100% acrylic)

Első próbára egy akril fonalat használtam. A végeredmény enyhén merev lett, így a csike minta szépen mutat, de egyáltalán nem olyan puha mint ahogy azt vártam. 

Szín: bézs, (világos karamell)

Méret: 165cm x 20cm

Fonal: Rosarios4 Pluma (100% akril)

The next try is a cowl, this time from my favourite silk and mohair blend yarn.  Now the finished item is much more softer and the pattern still shows itself absolutely.

Colour: snow-white

Measurements:  25" and 15"

Következő alkalommal a kedvenc selyem-mohair fonalamat használtam egy kámzsa megalkotására. Most sokkal puhább lett a végeredmény, a minta pedig így is tökéletesen látszik.

'Smoke Icicle' mohair cowl

Version 2 of the mohair cowl, now it is made from 2 ply / lace yarn.

Mohair and silk lace shawl

I have finished the frost flower lace shawl (stole or scarf) which was posted here. It is a lightweight (approx. 80g) lace wonder. And it is suprisingly warm - the perfect accessory for cool summer evenings. The free pattern for Passap Duomatic is available here.

I hate grafting and it can be seen on the finished seam. But it is far from that bad I have expected.

A darabok összevarrását egyszerűen utálom - ez azért meg is látszik, noha nem olyan mértékben mint ahogy vártam.

Icicle mohair cowl

Finally I have finished my mohair cowl. It has just that perfect light greyish blue colour that I am fond of. The vertical stripes are like I have dreamt.

Colour: greyish blue (light steel blue or light slate grey)

Size: 46cm x 28cm (folded half)

Yarn: Red Heart Soft Mohair

Végül csak befejeztem a moher kámzsámat. A színe tökéletes, pont az a szürkés világoskék amit annyira szeretek.  A függőleges csíkok teljesen olyanok lettek mint amit elképzeltem - és lerajzolam.

Szín: halovány palaszürke ill. kékesszürke (szürkéskék)

Méret: 46cm x 28cm  (félbe hajtva)
