Cable cowl

 

I know it was long ago that I wrote about my knittings but I promise to try posting more often.

First I would like to show my new cowl - tube scarf with cable. It is not a difficult cable pattern but I think it is more than enough for this simple design. The tube height is perfect to hide your neck and chin comfortably on cold days.
The yarn is a loose plied merino wool and that is why it's not too flexible - conversely it is so unbelievably soft. Really is...

Yarn: Lana Gatto Ottocapi (100% Merino wool)
Circumference: 19,7", height: 12,6" 

Tudom, hogy régen írtam már a köteményeimről, de ígérem, hogy megpróbálok gyakrabban jelentkezni.

Elsőnek az új csavart mintás kámzsát - csősálat mutatom meg. Nem egy túl bonyolult csavart minta, de szerintem pont elég ehhez a sima sálhoz. A sál magassága éppen elég ahhoz, hogy az ember hideg időben kényelmesen elrejtse a nyakát és az állát. 

A fonal egy lazább sodratú gyapjú és mint ilyen nem olyan nagyon rugalmas - viszont elképzelhetetlenül puha. De tényleg...

Dots Shawl

I have finished the Dots Scarf rectangular shaped version. Like my other stoles this is consists of two parts which are grafted together. I modified the wave border - now it is horizontal so can be knitted alongside the body. I think the border chart can be used by machine and hand knitters as well.
Yarn: Barka Szitakötő 100% merino wool

Colour: blue (like forget-me-not)

Measurement: 59" x 17"

Befejeztem a négyszögre alakított  Dots Scarf -ot. Felépítésre pont olyan mint az összes többi stólám: két darabban készül, középen összeöltve. Átalakítottam a wave border-t, most vízszintes és együtt kötődik a stóla testével. Szerintem a szegély leszámolható rajza kézi és gépi kötők számára egyaránt használható.

Spring Leaf

Perfection Leaf - this is the name of the lace pattern. You can find the free base pattern here.

The triangular scarf (or shawlette) consist of two parts grafted together. This is edged with the Perfection Leaf lace and has stocking stitch body.

I thought that this would be much more simpler than the Frost Flower or the Butterfly. I was wrong. I felt that it would never be finished. And to top it all I have to knit one more - for present - from mohair-silk yarn.

Yarn: Barka Díva (50% Alpaca, 50% Merino wool)
Colour: light purple (lavender)
Measurement: 37,5" (wing length) and 17,7" (spine length)

Háromszögletű kendő (avagy sálacs) ami két összevart részből áll. A Perfection Lace csipkeminta alkotja a szegélyt, a belső rész sima - sima.

Naivan azt gondoltam, hogy ez a minta sokkal egyszerűbb lesz mint a Frost Flower vagy akár a Butterfly. Hát tévedtem. Már azt hittem hogy sohasem fejezem be. Ráadásul ajándékkén még gyártanom kell egyet moher-selyem fonalból is.

Wrap for myself

Made for me. It can be used as a cowl or a wrap.

This pattern basically a Möbius scarf. I select an elastic and decorative stitch pattern which both sides are similar but finally I blocked it hard so it isn't springy any more. I love it this way.

Vállmelegítő vagy kámzsa saját használatra.
Tulajdonképpen egy möbius sál. Kiválasztottam egy rugalmas és csini, mindkét oldalán azonos mintát, de végül olyan erősen tűztem ki, hogy minden ruganyosságát elvesztette. Imádom.

Scarf for Husband

This was his present for Christmas. I hope he will like it!

The pattern is like the camel scarf.

Ribbed camel scarf in truffle colour

This generous sized scarf is knitted from a camel blend yarn which is rich and superior in quality . 

The scarf has decorative ribbed pattern which lays flat and does not tend to gather in contrast to a simple 2:2 ribbing.

Colour: truffle (umber) brown 

Measurements: 72" x 7,5"

Material: Barka Diplomata (60% extra fine merino wool and 40% camel)

Ez a nagyvonalúan méretezett sál teveszőr és extra finom merinó gyapjú keverékéből készült. A mutatós bordás minta - ellentétben az egyszerű 2 sima-2 fordítottal - kisímul és nem hajlamos az összeugrásra.

Butterfly - Modified Frost Flower lace

I simply love this pattern, which derives from the frost flower lace. Almost perfect - I want to modify around the single butterfly motif only.

I plan to knit this scarf several times, I am curious about how the same lace pattern looks like made from different weight yarns.

The first scarf - or stole the more - is knitted from a 5 ply extra fine merino yarn. The result is entirely satisfying: it is wonderfully soft and warm, and it's size made it suitable to wrap yourself nearly completely.

Egyszerűen imádom ezt a frost flower csipkeminta változatot. Szinte teljesen tökéletes -  csak a magányos lepke motívumoknál szeretnék egy kicsit finomítani rajta.

Terveim szerint ezt a sálat megkötöm többször is - nagyon kíváncsi vagyok, hogy ugyanaz a csipkeminta hogyan mutat különböző vastagságú fonalakból.

Az első sál - vagy inkább stóla - extra finom merinó gyapjúból készült. A végeredménnyel maradéktalanul elégedett vagyok: csodálatosan puha és meleg, a mérete pedig alkalmassá teszi, hogy az ember szinte teljesen beleburkolózzon.
