Braid Scarf - Free pattern


braid scarf shawl free knitting pattern

Free charted pattern of my Braid Scarf. It was made originally for machine knitting but you can use the chart for hand knitting as well.
* I finished the hand knitting version - it is available here.*

I. section: lower end
II. section: first short rows panel
III. section: straight repeat panel (40 rows)
IV. section: second short rows section
V. section: upper end

The chart in Adobe Acrobat pdf format is here.
* Stich size is 7. *

I post only the chart - the legend can be find at Panna Frost Flower Scarf (both for hand- and machine knitting).

  2. This is very beautiful scarf. I'm just wondering what does symbols / and \ mean when hand knitting?

    1. Actually nothing: RS - knit, WS - purl. With this you can easier visualize the slanting stitches.
